We are Varberg Municipality, the employer who sees the potential in you. Here you get to make a difference, both for others and for yourself. We are driven by the idea of simplifying people's daily lives and realizing their dreams. We do this with the help of knowledge, innovative courage, and a forward-looking spirit. Welcome to contribute to the work towards our vision – to become the creative hub of the west coast.

The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer interventions based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act of Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This can involve giving older people a safe and meaningful daily life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, young people, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

With us, you meet every individual with respect and professionalism. We collaborate across professional boundaries – both within our own department, with other parts of the municipality, and with external actors. To ensure quality and development, we actively work with follow-up, improvement work, and digitalization.

Here you make a real difference – every day.
